ORLANDO, Fla. — Editor's note: This story is available as a result of a content partnership between WFTV and the Orlando Business Journal. The former Macy's at Sanford's Seminole Towne Center is the latest mall department store property in Central Florida that is being reimagined as apartments. Altamonte Springs-based Picerne Real Estate Group is pursuing a 350-apartment development on a 17.5-acre site that includes the former department store, as well as adjacent parking lots, on the south side of the mall.
